The specially designed Hot Spa from Westcoast offers an ideal complement
to any hydrotherapy programme.
“Physical rehabilitation has become an integral part of the
total recovery regimen for patients in our practice, and for certain
conditions has even been beneficial in lieu of surgery."
B. S. Nwadike DVM Dipl ACVS
Offering a passive form of canine hydrotherapy, the Hot Spa from Westcoast
provides elderly and/or arthritic dogs with improved mobility, as well
as easing the muscular strains and sprains of injured dogs.
Constructed of stainless steel, with a separate plant pack that holds
our adjustable, state-of-the-art inline heater and filtration pack,
you’ll find the Hot Spa to be durable and easy to maintain.
The Hot Spa Experience
With a variable floor height, the unique design of our Hot Spa enables
it to accommodate dogs of all sizes. You’ll also have the flexibility
to control the water temperature. The hot water increases blood flow
to the affected areas within the dog, which increases tissue and collagen
extensibility while decreasing the pain of muscle spasms and stiff joints.
As a stand-alone unit many of our customers include a Hot Spa in their
range of hydrotherapy equipment. For dogs recovering from surgery, time
spent in the Hot Spa before undergoing more active hydrotherapy treatments
can help relax their muscles and warm their joints, enabling a greater
range of movement in their exercise. In addition to these rehabilitative
benefits, the vigorous water movement of the Hot Spa also provides dogs
with muscle toning and relaxation.
